Show me a man who lives alone and has a perpetually clean kitchen, and 8 times out of 9 I’ll show you a man with detestable spiritual qualities. — Charles Bukowski

Doing Some Housecleaning

I'm a zit, get it!Not really. I’m actually going through the folders on my web server, deleting a bunch of files from sites that i no longer operate and I’m coming across some weird, random images.

Like this one of me in high school with “The Haircut” and a mouth full of food.

This logo I made based on the Volkswagen logo except using my initials. I was trying to design a logo for something, but I don’t recall what. I’ve thought about getting it as a tattoo as well, but I’m a wuss. It’s a bicycle cog, but after the fact I realized it’s a little too close to the nazi era VW logo:

Finally, this banner I made for the old nolagay.com. Pretty spiffy if I do say so myself.

Oh.. my… jesus.

Many thanks to Rachelle for finding this: Mormons Exposed.

mormons.jpgFor the first time ever, twelve of the hottest and hunkiest former Mormon Missionaries have dared to pose bare-chested in the first-ever Mormons Exposed calendar. The 2008 calendar, dubbed Men on a Mission, feature sexy men of faith who have all returned from serving as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Usually seen riding their bicycles and preaching door to door, these steamy young men explode with sexuality on each calendar page.

Granted, they could be a little more my type, but some of them are well… cute enough. I wouldn’t kick any of them out of bed for eating crackers. Oddly enough, I don’t want to get this because, well who wants to see Mormons out of their ties?

hubba hubbaI think this one, Dustin, is my favorite, even without a tie.

New York, New York. Hell of a town.

OK. The fates are definitely telling me something, not that I believe in that shit. If I did, I’d be very certain New York is in my future… or maybe D.C since it’s in that general area. Earlier in the evening I was talking to this guy that messaged me from MySpace and, aside from being cute, smart, funny, a music nut, yadda yadda yadda. he’s living in Portland. Now, for months I’ve been tossing the idea of going to Portland around in my head since they have a bicycle college there, and that sounds really cool to me. But hey, it’s Portland… I don’t know anyone in Portland. I know people in D.C. and in New York though.. so that’s where my mind has been preparing myself to eventually move (in a year or so I I figger.) Scott (from MySpace) suddenly mentions he’s moved back to New York. dammit. New York keeps coming up in my life… Is it a sign?

Also.. When I was using my Mac to manage my mp3 collection, one of my favorite programs was IEatBrainz. It’s a program that analyzes your mp3 files, compares them to the MusicBrainz database and then figures out the proper track names, artist info, etc and renames all of your files. LOVE IT!! I never even though about going to the MusicBrainz website to see if there was a PC program as well. Well, there is. w00t!

Why is the room spinning?

Well, I just spoke with the nice lady that picked me up off the street. She has my bike.

She said the frame is bent from having the front wheel being forced into it. Not sure how bad or what she means. But.. it was my watanabe. :( :(

I also went to wash my hair in the tub today, didnt feel like going through all the aggrivation of showering… and when I bent over, the room started violently spinning.

I stood back up and and went in the living room and tried not to panic.. WTF was that?

I bent over again and the living room SHOOK, then started to spin severly.

After a 40 second google search this is all I can come up with:

BENIGN PAROXYSMAL POSITIONAL VERTIGO

“The most common cause of BPPV in people under age 50 is head injury .”

Anyone else get this? How long did it last? I’m calling my general practictioner as soon as my medical benefits kick in (some time this week!)

It sucks. I can’t even lay down now, or turn my head quickly. uhg.

Random Sober Thoughts at 3am

I went to see X-Men III tonight with Marshall, Carlos, the Jasons and Julie. It was actually pretty good for a typical blockbuster action movie sequel based on a comic book series.

I got home from work literally moments before Julie arrived to pick me up so all I had time to do was splash some water on my face, comb my hair and grab a jacket in case it was cold int he theater. Now, I don’t think I’ve mentioned it on here but lately, thanks to Carlos, I’ve developed a jacket obsession. I think I’ve “won” about 8 or 9 sportcoats on eBay in the last few months. Since it’s been so hot the last few weeks I was happy to be going out in an air conditioned environment that didn’t involve a half hour bicycle ride to get there. I was finally able to wear one of said jackets. Of course, everyone wanted to know why I was so dressed up… it’s weird to be like “oh, I just wanted to wear this.”

Like I’ve said before, I’m definately trying to transform my (self) image so it’s hard sometimes to do so with people who are so used to me dressing in crappy, bike grease soaked khakis and t-shirts all the time. They always want to know what job I interviewed for. :)

I like to joke that I changed after watching a month of What Not To Wear while we were evacuated but it’s so true. Having to buy new clothes definately made me adjust how I thought of myself. I suddenly have to uphold this new image I’m presenting.

Not sure why I’m posting this - just came to my mind.

Anyway, when I was just getting ready to put up my laptop I saw this video preview in the video chat program I use and thought it was a neat effect. Here’s a bit of me being stupid for those of you who haven’t seen me in a while:
