And now we bring you, the iHeadache

My twitterstream is full of my friend’s bitching about all the problems they’re having activating their shiny new iPhones 3Gs. I have to admit there is a small, evil, envious part of me that is glad their nerdvana has been delayed a few hours. The truth be told, I’d love to get my grubby paws on an the new iPhone — but I’m going the route of getting the First generation model off of craigslist for cheap. I figure by next week we’ll be able to pick up a ton of 8GB iPhones for about $200 then, 15 minutes later it’ll be jailbroken and sitting next to my SideKick LX and my Daxian x999+ that I got last week.

What’s the point of the Daxian? You pay $200 more so you don’t have to be on AT&T? Could you find a more g-riffic video to demo it? :)

One more thing - been meaning to ask you - have you ever done any of the ROM hacks from xda-developers? I’ve been tempted to do the one for the Dash, but I’m nervous about bricking my phone.

Nah, the daxian is on sale on the big sites for that much. You can pick it up CHEAP from craigslist or ebay. It’s only been out for a few months so it’s not like they’ll be beat up.

I got mine for $100 on craiglist and it was still in the wrapper.

Windows Mobile v6, unlocked, tons of available software, touch screen, Wi-Fi, GPS mapping. If you notice, in the video both times he said the prices they were selling for he said they were expensive. On ebay they’re going for like $200 or less. (also, that video was made when the daxians were first released.)
